Glaiheshara

Lake Glaiheshara is considered one of the great natural wonders of Vasea. It is by far by the largest spring in the world, large enough that the Imperial Capital, Etherian, was built atop it.

Geography

Known for being the largest and deepest land locked body of water on Vasea, Glaiheshara is natural spring. Crystal clear waters still manage to hide the cliffs, valleys, and mountains below due to the incredible depths that the spring reaches. More so than the beauty of the water though, Glaiheshara is prized for being the main source of fresh water in the empire, as well the stunning views on all the coasts and particularly from Etherian.

Ecosystem

The spring has a richly diverse ecosystem, one that is not fully explored. There are many kinds of fish and aquatic flora that can only be found within Glaiheshara. Research and conservation efforts have been enacted to protect those unique creatures and plants. Beyond that there are many other creatures that make their homes around and in the spring due to the resources it provides.

Natural Resources

The main resource that the spring provides is fresh water, something that many of the countries in Vasea don't have a lot of access to.

History

The spring has always been an important resource in the empire, and one that has been greately contested. That said the Dragon Dominion ruled it for the longest time, even building a city and their primary palace there to signify their dominince. A fact that until the birth of the empire caused no end of resentment among the other nations.

Tourism

Many travel from across the empire just to see the spring as it is one of the great natural wonders of Vasea. As such the settlements on the coasts of Glaiheshara prosper greately from the reputation of the spring. Boating tours are also incredibly popular.
