Snowdrift Outpost
Located just before the base of the western range of the Silent Peaks this settlement is the most northern and isolated outpost in Noord
Defences
A simple zigzaging split rail fence boarders the forested side of the settlement. While it would do little to stop an attacking creature it gives an obvious marked off area to be patrolled. The village will contract individuals to guard the town for alloted periods of time. If attacks on workers in the forest become frequent, guards will also be hired to keep watch as they work.
Industry & Trade
Known primarily for its logging industry due to its location. The oldest of the sawmills takes advantage of the cold winds to do the cutting for them instead of steam. It's also one of the slowest producers.
A tannery that buys any pelts leftover from meals sits on the very outskirts due to the smell.
Infrastructure
The hand full of structures built include a few saw mills, the local tavern The Broken Axe, a tannery, and two woodworking huts one specializing in musical instruments.
Exports of unique wooden items, lumber, and leather require a well kept road for wagons and the far more common sleds. The covered bridge over the nearby river is on rare occasion swept way in the spring, cutting off the outpost from the rest of civilization.
Architecture
The wooden cabins have steep roofs to keep the snow from collecting on top. Carvings are done on any logs that have jutted out from the corners.
Geography
On the rare especially clear day one can see the tops of the Silent Peaks.
