Basic Information

Anatomy

The wings are used for prolonged soaring with a maximum span of around 30' (9m). Have four large talons on each foot for swooping up prey.

Ecology and Habitats

Prefer to roost on cliffs and mountains, using exceptionally large trees if other options aren't available. Plains and bodies of water make excellent hunting grounds.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Consumes a variety of meats and fruits, its preferred pray is Human. This makes Urbs a perfect hunting ground.

Have a minor form of telepathy to communicate with each other. 
Can be either Type E or W.

Common Myths and Legends

After Extinction

Many individuals claim to have seen avisloe after the species was declared extinct. Rumors are most often found in Urbs with claims of massive black feathered creatures swooping down at unsuspecting people trying to snatch them up.
A similar rumor is spread around Fractus where avisloe have a mythical status.
These stories are usually dismissed as Fthorskotos sightings and should be reported to the proper authorities so the threat can be addressed.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Always at odds with Creaviae the two species frequently fighting over airspace. Tensions eventually got so bad that a massive conflict broke out between Hrost and Vincere.
Tolerates Ignisore the two species have very different habitats and tend to ignore each other. On rare occasion Avisloe will trade for metal objects.
