Kyshya'la

Kyshya'la is the largest of the floating cities built by the Cnidarians . It is made up of several segments of floating raft-like sectors that are attached together by a durable cord material. Each segment has large fin-like sails that can catch the wind and move the city, as well as a series of long tentacle-like protrusions of that same cord that extend beneath the city. The Cnidarian's homes are all attached to these dangling cords, while their shops and workspaces are setup on the areas above and below the surface. Each segment is home to a family or cluster, and the conjoined city represents the union of multiple clusters. If a particular cluster is exiled or otherwise wants to leave, they can simply sever their cords and drift away. Other clusters can also join together if they can maneuver their sector to meet up with the rest of the city. Kyshya'la floats largely as the wind takes it, but can be steered by catching the wind in different directions, or by propeller motion of the tendrils, although this is typically only used as a last resort, as it damages the homes. The Cnidarians of the city make trade at the various port cities of the world, and also do business with the pelagic merfolk and other open-sea races.
