Heroes of Ithicus

The epic of the Heroes of Ithicus is a story told through prose written by the ancient Korrian troubadour Melíssa.
It tells a tale of a group of mythical heroes who fought against cultists of Jahar on the isle of Ithicus, when it still existed above the waves.
In the story, the characters include the triton Kairos Thalassis, the legendary warrior Kalthes Lanthichos, the oracle Pythia, the satyr Neaira Deichteira, the great ranger Erytheia Makrides, the harpy Phaedra, and the great bard Melíssa himself. The party travels all throughout Korris, competing in the Kalaphadian Games, slaying monstrous creatures like the gorgon Hythonia, the great hydra Polukranos, and a terrible kraken known as Tromokratis.
The heroes are also said to have traveled with the dancer Fenryx, and with the young Pereon the Great before he became the historic founder of the Empire of Korris.
Long thought to be simply a fantastical work of fiction, recent archaeology states that these legendary figures may have actually existed and helped prevent the return of Jahar.
