The Compass

There are many strange, Ruined Wonders on the continent of Valyria, but one of the most well known is right at the core of one of the biggest cities, Rubius. The wonder in question is simply called The Compass.
It appears to take up a very small amount of space at first glance, appearing to just be a raised platform in the center of the main plaza, but then you may realize that The compass is the plaza.
The entire thing had been there since the beginning of Rubius, with the city literally being built around this strange circle.
The place itself is shaped like a huge disk, with diamond-like shapes pointing in each of the cardinal directions. These are part of a huge mosaic, but it doesn’t seem to have any further meaning.
There are small grooves running throughout the entire thing, that all lead away from the raised table.
The raised portion is basically a shallow bowl of water, with four more diamond-shaped pieces, this time made out of Tyrian Silver instead of clay tile, each pointing towards their larger counterparts. These are where the water comes out, before looping right back to the start.
In the center of the bowl, under the water is a small compass.
This compass has a strange magical signature, seemingly made up of many, many different types of magic.
This has led to much speculation about what The Compass could be, ranging from some type of ritual ground or a place to check if the magnetic field was working.
Many come to Rubius to try and discover the secret, but no attempts have been successful. The compass simply doesn’t yield to any attempts to remove or break any part of the whole structure, and even if you managed to break a piece off and discover something amazing you still would then be a wanted criminal due to the exactly 27 laws covering it.

Ooh, how intriguing! Fascinated by this mystery! I hope someone figures it out soon (without breaking the 27 laws lol)
