"I don't know! We were playing, and showing off to each other! And then it just happened!" "It'll be okay. Just stand over there, and I'll take care of it. Just be more careful not to strain yourselves next time."
Notice to Young Mages
Arcane Belligerent Condition is common and preventable! It's caused by overexerting yourself casting magic, and the resulting strain causes a wild reaction. Casting magic outside of dedicated training rooms is prohibited to all students. Please notify a teacher immediately if your friends or fellow students start exhibiting signs of ABC.
Symptoms
Please be aware of the following symptoms of ABC:
- Fatigue after casting magic
- Double vision or dizziness when attempting to cast again
- Eyes turning purple
- Sudden aggression towards others
Humanoids
- Severe headaches
- Jitteriness
Draconids
- Itchy scales
- Dry mouth
Goblinoids
- Excessive sweating
- Acute tinnitus
Beastfolk
- Increased flatulence
- Excessive shedding
Treatment
Luckily, ABC is very easy to treat! Regardless of magic discipline affiliation, all mages who interact with young and inexperienced mages learn a simple stunning spell. This can be used to stop an aggressive mage with the only risk being mild bruising from falling. The overexerted mage can then be transferred somewhere quieter to rest, eat, and drink.Prognosis
ABC is most common in children and inexperienced mages. Nearly everyone grows out of it by adulthood or upon gaining better mastery and control of magical abilities. Parents of magically inclined children are encouraged to notify their local government office so that the child can be placed in a safe learning environment with mages able to swiftly treat any unexpected outbursts.Submission to Group 5 of Cato's Mixing Conditions 2

This is an amazing article! I love the quotations you included, and the symptoms list by species is very useful as a reference guide. This reads like a professional in-world safety poster for the condition, and also the condition's neat little name is ABC. Incredible! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I had a ton of fun coming up with the name and creating a condition that's more lighthearted in nature
