Hunters Guild

One of the first guilds, and still among the largest. The Hunters Guild was established to help hunters and trappers obtain a fair price for their goods, without spending so much valuable time at the markets.

Structure

The Guild is operated out of local guildhalls, each of which answers to the nearer of Aspenhold or Anchor Falls. These two regional guildhalls are overseen by the guild headquarters at Albion.

The heads of the regional guildhalls have considerable social standing in their respective towns, but otherwise, the actual guild leadership is not particularly known outside of the guild. This may be coincidental or by design--the guild hardly has an air of secrecy, considering how often it throws its weight around to get what it wants, but it does not advertise who in its ranks is actually in charge. It is not even known whether decisions are made by individuals or by committee, but the guild stands behind those decisions as a behemoth of cultural and economic power.

Public Agenda

The protection and enrichment of its members, from those who do the actual hunting to the merchants who sell the spoils, and everyone seeing to the rapid transport between.

Assets

The goods obtained, moved, and sold by the Hunters Guild form a significant part of Valoran diets, are relied upon by a variety of other trades, and form a solid base for the country's economy. Crops can thrive or fail depending on the weather, but the Hunters can always turn up something. Additionally, because their caravans move quickly and have an excellent reputation, many others contract with the Hunters Guild to move their goods, even if they would not fall under the guild's traditional purview.
