The Creatures of the Fey

There are 13 different races that reside in the Feywilds with intertwining histories, stereotypes, and behaviors. There is the Eladrin, Fairies, satyr, Leonin, Harengon, Owlin, Hexblood, Giant, Minotaur, Firbolg, Loxodon, Tortle, and Goblins.

Eladrin

The Eladrin appearance is dictated by what season they were born in and sometimes it may even affect their personality, example
Spring
Colors for skin, hair, and eyes could be anything that light and soft, so like pastel pink, blue, or yellow, with some darker contrasts like brown, blue, or green. These Eladrin are sometimes smaller than the other Eladrin and tend to be more spray, though not all that energetic, though there are exceptions.
Summer
These Eladrin would have colors similar to Spring but much bolder and maybe even brighter. They tend to be bolder, energetic, and taller than the Spring Eladrin. They normally make friends much easier than any of the other types of Eladrin.

Autumn
Browns, yellows, and reds are the most common colors among autumn-born Eladrin though some have some green that ends up mixing with yellow. These types of Eladrin tend to be more like bookworms and like to take things with each day. They are not really energetic or would fully put themselves out there, but they are also not completely closed off.
Winter
Winter Eladrin are either the shortest or tallest kinds of Eladrin as their height can vary a lot between each other. They tend to have more muted colors or bright sharp colors like icy blue, sometimes some soft colors like a saturated violet or teal. These types tend to be more to themselves and distant, or really shy and easily intimidated or scared.

Other than appearance, the Eladrin in the cities are known to be cowards for abandoning the feywilds when everyone needed them most, this caused a huge loss and distrust. The city of Eladrin tends to be more uptight and less welcoming of outsiders due to the increased risk of the Corruption, which has only painted them in a worse picture in the eyes of the rest of the feywilds. The more Village and town Eladrin not only look slightly different as they have more a mystical look and feel to them, but they also behave differently. They are by many of the fey considered to be braver than the ones that ran when times got tough and are often looked up to as heroes that saved their lives.

Fairies

There are 3 different types of fairies, Insect, Plant, and Astral, there is very little difference other than appearance. Though a lot of fairies are known to be tricksters there is a good amount that like helping others and will often dedicate their lives to something, they are known to be happy folks and very long-lived as no one has ever seen a fairy die of old age. Most fairies lose themselves to Corruption. Due to what had happened with the Eladrin a lot of fairies became Void warlocks and started serving Za'strasz in fear and desperation. Most of the other races either take pity or have massive distrust towards fairies since they are so easily pulled towards the corruption.

Satyr

Often looked up to as guides of the feywilds since they travel around once they reach adulthood at 100 years old. Most of the time they reside in villages and avoid large cities, many believe it's because corruption is more likely to attack cities than villages or towns that are scattered all over the feywilds. Most satyrs mostly resemble rams or horses, with color ranging from white to brown, black, or red fur, and not too large horns. Though there have been some myths about the unicorn Satyr no one has seen one or even has any records of one existing. The Satyr lives upwards of 700 years but matures just as fast as an Eladrin.

Leonin

Known for their bravery during the corruption spread when the Eladrin abandoned everyone else, though this did cause a lot of the race to be wiped out and are now not often seen. These guys have been written down in the history books as heroes for their sacrifices and often get their own day just to remember the ones that have fallen during the fight. Lots of the ones around tend to be paladins that hang around the villages and cities not owned by the Eladrin. They live up to 500 years and are considered adults by the age of 80 which is often when they are able to become paladins or clerics if they so desire.

Herengon

The survivors of the fey before the Eladrin had abandoned the fey this race just about went extinct but managed to bounce back once the Leonin and the Ice Mother was able to push Za'strasz back. Afterward, they have always lived in small groups either underground or in the large trees, mostly to hide from predators and Corruption. Though are a few that decided to live in villages for extra protection. They only live upwards of 100 years and are considered adults by the age of 18 which is when they often leave the home and either go to a village or city or start their own little group and just survive out in the wilderness.

Owlin

These guys are able to see at night really well and are hard to hear most of the time when they are flying, they hid away when the Eladrin left, silently trying to protect other races in the background. They were always able to sense magic from other creatures or when a magical spell is cast. They prowl around at night and only require 5 hours of rest, making them perfect for watching. School of Astromancy has a lot of Owlin just for gathering Distilled Starlight for long hours of the night. Owlin lives up to be 200 years old and is considered adults by the age of 30, which is when they will leave their nests or homes.

Hexblood

The Hexblood is more of a lineage than anything, so any of the other races could be a hexblood, which are normally born in covens and come from hags. Though the difference is that hexbloods can give tokens that allow them to see the surroundings as long they are within 10 miles of it and even give a small message to the person that has it. There are even a few spells that hexbloods are able to cast due to their somewhat magical heritage. The hexbloods no matter the race can live upwards of 1000 years and are considered adults by the age of 200. Most will live and stay in their coven and are considered to be more isolated from the rest of the feywilds so they get rarely seen.

Giants

They mostly reside on floating islands that hide away above the clouds, normally really cut off from the ongoings of the feywilds. Though every now and then one may come on down to help someone out or someone will go on up, other than that they are considered the gentle giants because of how careful and gentle they are to the much smaller races or where they step when they come on down, making sure to not break anything. They live for an unknown amount of time due to how little people know about them.

Minotaur

They always kept with their own even before the Eladrin escape, they also have been seen as aggressive though many have stated that they can be quite hospitable to though that pass through their territories. Most of them are known barbarians though there has been written history of paladin Minotaurs who have lead small groups of fey through the spread of Corruption. The minotaurs live to the age of 700 and are considered adults by the age of 100 which is when they normally are to find their place among the other minotaurs.

Firbolg

They are known to leads circles of druids, making them seem down to earth. They had helped the Rabbitfolk and the Owlfolk to hide away under the ground from the Corruption and because of that came the rise of two new groups of druids, one being the rabbitfolk majority and the other being the owlfolk majority. Firbolgs are not found on their own and will mostly stay with other races or traveling from village to village, city to city. They live up to about 500 years of age and are considered adults by the age of 30 which is when a lot of them will break away and find their new group.

Loxodon

They are the most accepted into Marsafell as the Loxodon are often paladins or clerics of the Starlight Church. Though there is still a lot of them that are now allowed in since most of the Loxodon in the walls were born but are highly praised among the Eladrin. Though the ones outside of the walls heavily look down on those inside and the Eladrin as they are left behind to fend for themselves, so most have devoted themselves to the smaller groups for survival. They live to the age of 450 and are considered adults by the age of 60 which is when they will undergo a ceremony.

Tortle

Asking any one of the fey creatures will tell you that these guys are the most friendly and are easy to get along with for the most part. Many have even stated that they have forgiven the Eladrin for their past doings, saying that any one of the other would have done the same given the chance, though there are some that are neutral and some that are bitter, they mostly keep to themselves.

Goblinoids

There are 4 different types of goblins, Goblin, Verdan, hobgoblin, and bugbear which all have their own different history, stereotypes, and appearances.

Goblin

They are small with green skin, though their appearance can change to match what surrounding they are in, though they will always remain small and green. Though if they only have been raised by their own, they tend to look more monstrous and deter anyone that crosses their path, meanwhile a goblin that is raised in a village in a more civilized way would end up looking more cleaned up and have certain features that pertain to the surrounding races. This is almost true with any Goblinoid race, but it seems to affect goblins the most. Goblins live up to 60 years and are considered adults by the age of 8 what happens depends on where they are at what kind of life they live.

Hobgoblin

More brutes than anything, hiding away under the ground from the Corruption, which some consider being smart and others think they are just backing themselves up into a corner. Though there are some that still spend time with the fey in villages and in the cities. Their skin tends to be a more grayish tint than the other types of goblins and tends to be a bit taller. They live to the age of 700 and are considered adults and the age of 100 which is often when they get their community roles picked out by the leader of the community.

Bugbear

The type of Goblinoids resemble more of an animal with hair that covers their whole body, they are about the same height as the Hobgoblin and are just as fierce as one as well, though there is more of them found in the villages of the feywilds. They live a little longer than the Goblin but not by much, they live to the age of 80 and are considered adults by 16 years of age.
