Innish Isthmus

In essence a continent of its own, this isthmus connects the continents of Weilonde and Etherionde into a continuous landmass. It is traditionally the Dwarven homeland, and the homeland of the Innish people. Most of the isthmus is occupied by the Inniash Khaganate. The territory is harsh to live in, comprised of tundra, barren steppes, and cold deserts. In some places there is glacial ice, and 30% of the landmass is practically uninhabitable. Cold temperatures and low moisture make farming nearly impossible, and the vast majority of food produced upon the isthmus consists of hardy livestock that pick the land clean of grass and weeds. The mountain ranges of the isthmus are the most lucrative in the world for iron, copper, tin, and coal, and the people that live here rely upon these ores as an export to survive.
