Continent of Etherionde

The Continent of Etherionde is commonly depicted upon world maps as the eastern-most continent of the world. It is predominantly a temperate climate, with high moisture and regular rainfall, dominated by temperate rainforests and temperate deciduous forests. At the southern tips of the continent, frigid winds give birth to taiga and glacial environments. The continent is known for its fertile farmlands, and extensive river systems throughout the continent. The north and northeastern shores of the continent are subject to the Echoes of Ceshunai, a massive tsunami that inexplicably appears every 4-7 years, transforming the coast and many of the lands beyond into wetlands for several years after each occurrence. The people who live in these regions have adapted, creating ditches to divert water, sea walls, or houses built upon stilts.
