History

At the end of the First Era, when the nations of the world were pushed to their limits from the war and loss of population, a nation named Taerin existed. It was filled with primarily humans, elves, and dwarves. Almost all of the other races were considered second-class citizens. Just like any other nation, Taerin was plagued by the issues caused by the Age of Shadows. After the defeat of Foltar, the masses of the minor races rebelled against the government, causing a revolution. Armed with guerrilla tactics, determination, and sheer numbers, the land of Taerin was overthrown. In its place, Cebleastriw was founded.   Very quickly, a democratic government was put into place. An elected official, the Tahnji, would be granted control over the nation. As a result of the lack of education the masses of minor races possessed, it was decided that the ruler would have control over the reconstruction of the land and the formation of the government. The first Tahnji was Aldhel, a half-elf who was universally loved by the inhabitants of the new nation. An advisory group reminiscent of elven councils was formed to help create Cebleastriw. For 35 years, the nation existed in relative peace; having difficulties only in being recognized as new nation.   At the turn of the era, Aldhel passed. In his place, a man named Rimile took charge of the young nation. While he held very little in common with the well-liked policies of his predecessor, Rimile had been voted into office with a clear majority. He appealed to the sense of anger in his kin, the beastfolk, as well as all of the other races who had been oppressed before the dissolution of Taerin. Promising radical ideas which would force the other nations of Northern Rimor to accept Cebleastriw, Rimile was given absolute power of the nation.   The government which had been built by Aldhel was swiftly dismantled, leaving barely a memory in the minds of the populace. Each man, woman, and child was given a task to help the nation grow, usually jobs involving manual labor or dangerous resource refinement. Humans were exiled, and those that weren't were executed for "inherited crimes" from the humans who came before them. Many of the other major races, such as the elves and the dwarves, were taken as indentured servants. Short wars were fought against the neighboring nations, primarily done as a means to amass wealth and respect. Within only a generation, Cebleastriw became a nation built on war, sea trade, and slavery.

Demography and Population

Mostly made of non-major races. Some Elves (Zhwi) and Dwarves (Dzudze) exist in Cebleastriw, but they are a minority. Very few Humans are located here, because they are not considered legal persons and have very few rights.

Territories

The South-Eastern portion of Northern Rimor, bordering on the Kirpar Peaks and the coast.

Military

The Cebleastrian army relies heavily on human slaves as well as guerilla tactics. Soldiers are often given poisoned weapons. Each division contains 25 companies of 50 soldiers. The chain of command is loose and ranks are determined arbitrarily by superiors.

Religion

Accepting of religions outside of the Rimorian Pantheon.

Agriculture & Industry

Most of the land is covered in government agriculture, with a small portion of land near the cities dedicated to some government-owned industry. The working conditions in these places are difficult; many are often injured or worked to death in the name of providing for their kingdom.
