Stitches
Stitches Types
Leather: Jack of all trades, Durable, can do many things well but only one or two masterfully
Wrappings: Strategic minds, Nimble, Suprisingly Perceptive (Considering they have no visable eyes.), lost limbs can easily be reattached without sewing kits.
Steel: Strong, Hardy, Heavy, practicle thinkers, do heavy labour, can memorise a bluprint by glancing at it but couldn't remember something from a book if their life depened on it.
Patches: A Hybrid between Leather and Wrappings, genrally okay at most things but have a "Calling" where they are intiutivly masters at a field and have unparraled pasion for it. Tend to be very emotional and good thinkers.
Plate: The Combination between Steel and anything else. These stitches are strong and dependable but often don't understand subtext or sarcasm. They have steels plates positioned over thier body and have what is often compared to a knights helm positioned on thier head.
Racial Features
- Void Limbs: When a Stiches limb is cut off (usually via a critical hit upon them) then the limb will reform made out of void and allow for high damage, medium range mele attacks or an increase in movement depending on the limb lost.
- Shade Let loose: If when a Stitches HP reaches 0 causeing the stitches to fall unconscious and this happened due to hostility or malicious intent then the Stitches' Shade will burst out and be very hostile to everything around it. If the Shade is not pulled back into the Stitches within 4 of the Shades turns (Or the Shade is killed), then the Shade will fade away to the abyss and the Stitches will be dead. If the Stitches' body is healed then the Shade will return to the Stitches' body.
- No Magic: Due to some unknown reason, Stiches are unable to use internal (or self given) magic and as such can only be one of the following magic based classes: Cleric, Warlock, Monk, Paladin, Artificer and Bard. They are able to be these classes because the magic used is provided by an external source such as a god, manipulation of natural magic or the inherant magic of music.
- Easy Healing: A Stitches limb can usually just be stuck back on with the help of a sewwing kit. Healing a Stitches with a sewing kit will heal the same as a Health Potion.
- It works! Somehow?: Stitches have the miraculous ability to make things that shouldnt work, work, much to everyones suprise. When rolling just 1-3 numbers bellow the needed number to pass a skill check, the roll is replaced with the number needed to pass. The Success is apropriotly unstable in its implementation.
-Gold Allergy: Stitches are unable to hold or touch gold with thier bare skin as it will cause them to burn. Killing a Stitches with a gold plated weapon is one of the few known ways to stop the shade from emerging post mortem.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Made out of Cloth, Leather, Steel or a combination of the 3, Stitches possess no internal organs. Instead thier insides are simply hollow, this is thought to be how the Shades or thier Soul is commonly stored.
When a Stitches perishes via hostile means thier Soul or Soul like equivilent will burst from inside of them and attack anything in the nearby area.
Inside a Stitches are 2-5 bright glowing orbs, these orbs are positioned in the head where eyes would normally be.
Genetics and Reproduction
Unknown. They won't tell us. It seems to be a strange question to ask them as they often laugh in our faces when we ask.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Stitches are Omnivorous in nature and capable of consuming the same food items as most humanoids. Unlike what one may think, they still need to consume food to survive.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Stitches seem to have all the sensory capabilities of the standard human, aside from 1.
Bone Mould: An ability claimed to be possesed by all Stitches. It is claimed that Bone Mould is a visual ability exclusive to Stitches, the claim is that Stitches are able to see each others emotions and facial expression by a nearly transparent overlay of bone that rests atop thier heads and bodies. This Bone Mould changes like a face to show other Stitches thier facial expression. The Bone Mould, reportedly takes on the shape of the Stitches Shade.
