Festival of Grand Lights

A celebration, based largely in Selhim, paying homage to their founder, the Lord of Lights.
Activities and performances begin in the evening and are held well into the night, though many consider the festival as having only truly begun once the sun has set and the moon begins to rise. Throughout the night, paper lanterns are handed out at street corners.
When the moon is at its apex, the lanterns are lit and released at once, rising into the night sky. Celebrations often continue for several hours after the release of the lanterns, but it marks the official end of the festival.
