Viverite

Viverite is a highly magical gemstone sought after by the Valheim government for unknown purposes. It is known to emit an eerie glow when struck by light which normally unsettles tourists unfamiliar with the gemstone.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Viverite is never cut because it already looks cut when it is dug out of the ground. Nobody knows why this phenomenon occurs but it does. Otherwise it is normally fount in a long, thin, rhombus-like shape and is not easily broken.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Viverite simply has too many magical effects to name, and each person who uses it in magic tends to discover new and unique ways to use it while struggling to do what others have already done. Its almost as if Viverite is capable of almost anything.

Life & Expiration

Viverite never naturally deteriorates.

History & Usage

Reusability & Recycling

Almost all of the magical effects caused by Viverite consume the gemstone, and nobody has figured out a way to counteract this property.

Distribution

Trade & Market

It is extremely difficult to get your hands on a piece of Viverite because the Valheim government pays ridiculous amounts of gold for every little piece as soon as news gets out that a piece had been found.

Law & Regulation

The government of Valheim requires that all Viverite must be sold to them, and only then can the government themselves handle sales of the very precious gemstone.
