Anatomy
A Nightmare Queen is a special Midnight Crawler variant that is considered its own species. They grow to 7 times the size of a normal Midnight Crawler and wear a mask of sorts that is illuminated by the feelers behind it.
Genetics and Reproduction
All male Midnight crawlers would do anything to mate with a Nightmare Queen because the offspring always has a very high chance of becoming another Nightmare Queen. Therefore, Nightmare Queens always have a devout following of Midnight Stalkers at their beckoned call.
Growth Rate & Stages
When a Nightmare Queen is born, she is taken to one of the most deserted areas of The Glimmering Sea and leave her to fend for herself. This makes the child strong, and almost no Nightmare Queens have failed to survive in this early stage of their life.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Nightmare Queens are often given food by their underlings, but they enjoy a good hunt every once and a while.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
A Nightmare Queen does not use its feelers to sense its surroundings, but rather detect sources of light. This fact renders her mostly blind, but she always can pinpoint a light source even if she cannot see it.
