Littlewig
A Littlewig is a tiny lizard about the size of a bee that has small bug wings which it can use to fly around. Littlewig are important to Valheim's ecosystem, being the main pollinators of the entire island.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Littlewig are tiny defenseless orange lizards that fly around on 2 little bug wings. They are often plump and their body curves so that when flying, they hold their tail in their "hands". They also have long tongues like a frog which they use to collect necter.
Genetics and Reproduction
Littlewig reproduce sexually and will lay 10-20 eggs every time they mate. They will then lay their eggs in a hidden place like under a leaf or rock.
Growth Rate & Stages
When Littlewig are born they fend for themselves, which is not too hard because they grow to full size within a week.
Ecology and Habitats
Littlewig can live everywhere that has an abundance of flowers (Keelwater Gardens, Lamrock Wood)
Dietary Needs and Habits
Littlewig use their long tongues to collect nectar. They wedge it down the flower and then pull it back out covered in nectar which they consume right there. They are grat pollinators due to their gluttonous diet, searching for nectar almost all day long.
Biological Cycle
Littlewig hibernate during the winter inside of a hollow tree, grouping together for warmth.
Conservation Status
Littlewig are protected by the law of Valheim, because of their major importance in the ecosystem.
