1st Galmere War

Following the destruction of the Mountvine mines in 423RR, mithral production ceased costing the Empire of Godsfall greatly. The Kingdom of Galmere was ruled by the Tyrant King Desmond and seeing this weakness started gathering his fleet and arming his men. The eyes of the Empire of Godsfall were not blind to this and they established the Shipwright's Guild in order to make vessels of war.
The war raged from 429RR through 444RR between the naval Kingdom of Galmere and the Empire of Godsfall. During the first few years seasonal raids ravaged the northern coast. Leaving many homeless, helpless, and wounded, the ones that could escape South did so. Eventually Greensward was captured by the Kingdom of Galmere. Those with means formed The Jade Hand and worked to disrupt the occupation as well as secretly house the inured.
The occupation acted as a launching point to make their attack south. Soon Hafa fell and then the lands East of the Silverstream, the Storm Lands were a vital lifeline for supplies. It seemed as though the attack would never stop and the Empire would fall. However reinforcements came through the Elder Road to bolster the forces of the Empire.  With the new forces they could defend the bridge connecting East and West.  After the second assassination attempt on the life of the 3rd Ruby Empress, Vinfrey Denmart, the Golden Fangs were formed.
It seemed that there was a standstill, the storerooms of Rubi'Sarha could allow the country to hold out for about 3 more years.  Also with the Elder road open fresh meats and produce could still get delivered though not at a level sustainable for the city, pushing out their stores for about another year.
Fortunately enough for Rubi'Sarha the exiled brother of the Tyrant King, Persian, gathered a forced large enough to overtake the throne.  The new king sought only for peace and relinquished the lands taken by his brother.  With the conclusion of the 1st Galmere war came a time of peace before the Galmere civil war began.
