Personal history

Calathena Janarii was born in the gnomish mining villages of The Issar Mountains.  Showing prodigy levels of magical ability before her tenth birthday, she was taken to the elders who decided she should be trained in gnomish magic by the most talented mages.  By the time she reached adulthood she had surpassed all but the most highly trained wizards of her people and was sent to continue her stellar career at the University of Arcana in the capital city.  After completing her chosen course in less than two years, she stayed on as a researcher and scholar and after about a decade became the Dean upon the retirement of the previous title holder.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Janarii is a skilled diplomat as well as talented mage, and has recently secured a position on the Royal Council under Queen Dana II, which is something no previous University office holder has achieved.  As a result, the standing of the University is currently at an all time high and she is extremely popular with her fellow mages.
