Ascencion

Queen Levana ascended to the throne of Valabrad by a combination of cunning intelligence, seduction, and several murders.

She was part of the court as the wife of a minister and used her position to accumulate all the dirty secrets. She slept with all the powerful and correct people. Her husband was aware of her activities and did the same himself. Sometimes they even planned together what targets to seduce, who to use, and who to discard.

Their alliance ended when Levan went after the King, and she planned to get rid of her husband via a convenient accident, marry the king and receive his magic powers.

Levana was crowned Queen Consort, and shortly after the King followed her late husband's fate. Levana's reign began covered in blood, betrayal, and death, just as Lylla's curse predicted.

Reign

Levana ruled over Valabrad for ten years. During that time, she made several reforms to appease the non-magical population that grew envious and distrusted mages. She took steps to fulfill their needs to protect her power.

Other mages were banned forever from approaching Queen Levana's court. They resorted to building underground networks and moved in secret circles intending to accumulate more power to overthrow Queen's Levana and rule over the non-mage population.

The Queen had a monumental project: Levana's temple. A building dedicated to worshiping her. In that place, she chose young people to follow all her whims and orders with the promise to one day give one of them magic powers. Throughout her time as a Queen, she fulfilled that promise twice: a young man and a young woman received their powers from her. They plotted her demise.

Death

Queen Levana was the last magic ruler of Valabrad. The two young mages that she designated as her trusted advisors plotted against her and killed her. This act unleashed a period of instability in the nation that started The Big War and ended with almost all mages dead and a few hid in faraway places, keeping their powers a secret.
