Dahmys-Graeos Accord

The continued hostilities between the two lands of Graeos and Dahmys had been something of a constant white-noise to the rest of the continent they shared for over five hundred years; first one attempt to push through and expand territory and then a reclamation of lands lost and new lands gained. This exchange gave rise to many smaller battles that ravaged both empires' fringes and left the very land that was contested unusable. Nothing would grow in no-man's land and those settles that tried would be lost as soon as they were re-established. In the twilight years of his life, the now legendary ruler of Dahmys, Thakaris the Knowing, reached out to his opposing ruler, Mallina of Graeos, to end the conflicts once and for all. In so doing, he offered to secede the recently claimed territory in the midst of the First Sea, land which once had been the seat of the God-King Oengus, and offered to turn it into a shared expanse that would signify the conclusion of the First Sea Wars and with it usher in a new age of prosperity for both. Already the land was full, he had explained, with peoples of the blood of both tieflings and aasimar and if, as he is claimed to have during this meeting, 'life between our two races may yield life through the mixing of blood rather than the spilling of it' then this was the path forward he was willing to pursue. At the heart of this land was to be a great city, built by both empires and named after Mallina--this too was part of Thakaris' offer.
With these plans laid out, the city of Malipolis--what would come to be known as the Grand Diocese a thousand years late--was established, the centerpiece of the promise to end all contestation between tiefling and aasimar and the lands of Dahmys and Graeos from 'now until the sun sets and never rises again'.
