Umoolan

Umoolan form the religious side of the Avians. These owl-like clerics are some of the most spiritual beings in all of the plane Prime Material. They are born with special connections to the "Great Out There" as they call it. They do not possess the ability to channel the magic that flows through the world, but can easily access deity prescribed power. Usually, Umoolan are born into a family religion and naturally have a connection to their chief deity. All are aspects of Avandra, of course. The Umoolans without this connection are made into spiritual guardians and given high praise despite their shortcomings. They are set to guard the various Mal Hurin, or sacred grounds. These are the fewest of the Families, but the most revered. Decade after decade, the Umoolan all congregate with the other Families and ask who should rule. Unanimously it is the Umoolan.
