Twilight Phalanx
The Qaath Dynasty's take on a phalanx. They oppose Caphitolia's Fallinx.
Modeled after the leader Felick Gabrishellon (left), the phalanx wear silver wings with black, heavy armor. They are seen as the guardian angels of the Qaath and they more than prove it. Over the past decade they have pushed the Caphitol Imperios back and conquered into their territory.
Composition
Equipment
The broad wings of the Phalanx are standard issue. Their helmets with wide wings on the side are also standard issue. The wear cloaks of silvery fibers, tenacious against piercing and slashing attacks.
Weaponry
Long, dark silvered spears are standard issue. Side swords of silvery steel hang to the side.
Tactics
The Phalanx used their strategic formations and numbers to overwhelm and incapacitate their foes. They drill for years on obeying the trumpeted commands of the phalanx's leader. These formations move like a silvery wave, ebbing and flowing, and eventually enveloping their prey. Once within a bubble, the foes are skewered by dozens of spears.
Training
Training takes several years to even being to see battle. Due to the endless war with Caphitolita, the need for soldiers is always there.

Recruitment
Only those in middle to upper tiers of society may join. Recruits are sought out, but volunteers are always welcome.
