Sir Fellion Frinfol Nourtel (a.k.a. The Stalwart Defender)
Fellion was conceived by a married Turami male, Rimardo, and his half-elf wife, Geaninie. They were a couple of merchants and raised the boy to be merchants like them. However, once reaching the lands of Tambux, he fell in love. He purposed to be an anchor for his family to station and refill on supplies. They agreed and he made his home in Tambux. He started a merchant's shop, trading what his parents gave him, and also sold supplies specifically for merchants. He grew in size and strength from hauling crates and heavy supplies. Quickly, he could stop working, hiring out help, and focus on his true passion: the dark arts.
See, Fellion had a penchant for the darkness and its many secrets. He turned to a local cult that worshiped Vecna and fell in immediately. When he wasn't supervising his shop, he spent his time reading tomes and divulging in the dark secrets Vecna and his oracles whispered unto him. In his darkest times he did unspeakable acts all for the knowledge and secrets they held. He felt no remorse and dove deeper into the blackness.
After his parents death, Fellion turned again to the dark arts for relief. The headmaster of the cult did not like Fellion, thinking him too powerful with secrets. He tried to kill Fellion, but Fellion slew him. The cultists, loyal to their old master, fought Fellion. In a moment of clarity, Fellion realized he had been wrong and was not following secrets, but evil. Everything had been a means to an end, and he intended to end it. He slew every member of the cult.
In the following months he sought forgiveness from the gods. The only one which saw potential in him was Helm. Helm granted Fellion pardon and gifted him abilities to defend his home and a warrior's battle prowess. Imbued with power, Fellion sought out and destroyed many evil cults around the city and surrounding areas.
When the Clannish Wars hit a peak in Tambuxia he was on the front lines defending the whole region. He climbed the ranks of the army to general and wielded the power stalwartly. He was known to make one sweep with his greatsword and fell five men.
Unfortunately, he did not account for treachery. The viscount of Nilesia, Victor Valmun, wanted Tambuxia for himself and so called forth orcs to come and ravage Tambux while the city's defenders were away. Fellion and Tambux thought themselves aligned with Nilesia and so were caught off-guard.
Fellion teleported home thanks to his steward, Yackob, and single-handedly slew three hundred orcs in a day. Goaded by Victor, the orcs continued and eventually overtook Fellion, slaying him.
The town rallied and pushed back, retrieving Fellion and defeating the orcs. He was laid to rest in the city's cemetery, a hero and defender of the people. His exploits are praised by regional bards still and many a young child grow to wish they were as brave and strong as Fellion Nourtel.
