Aarakocra

Aarakocra resemble royalty and are the guardians of Samba Ka. They form some of the higher echelons of Avian society by being high-retainers or knight-guards. Some work as mercenaries on the mainland, particularly Evoria since humans are generally the most accepting of other species, barring dragons of course. Aarakocra are mighty and strong, boasting the only Avian family that can wield a greatsword with finesse. The Aarakocra detest axes, seeing them as tools of punishment. They also have the unfortunate task of being executioners and exilers.
