High Marquis of Sakha
The High Marquis of Sakha is the Sakhan Head of State and the provincial rendition of a Head of House - a noble figurehead that serves as diplomat, icon, and ruler of the Sakhan provincial people.
Qualifications
There are several qualifications that must be met by the time the successor reaches the age of 21: a full bachelor's degree in some form of arcanum from the Avena Monastery, several trials of combat and wit, and the ability to fluently read the Heleyran Consecrator (which is written entirely in Deep Speech).
Requirements
The position of High Marquis is only accessible to the singular heir of each Heleyran that passes through the position. There is thus a political obligation to have a single child - no more, no less - and those that fail to do so tend to receive some form of punishment.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Every High Marquis has held in their possession an incredible artifact called the Consecrator - a grimoire bound in the skin of colonial Temporans. However, few individuals are aware of the nature of this artifact.
