Goblinoids, Gobnobs

Gobnobs are a species of Goblinoids typically found in heavily forested and jungle regions. Gobnobs can be spotted by their round jawline which sits lower and deeper. Their front rows of teeth are triangular like a shark, while back teeth are the familiar small spiky tines of a goblin. Their necks appear very short and wider. Like mawblins, they can open their mouths wide allowing them to swallow whole chickens, rabbits and large fish. They eat a much larger amount of plants, ripping and shredding with a sideways motion of their mouths, similar to a cow's chew. They prefer meats to be raw and fresh from a kill. The back teeth pin flesh between them while the front serrates them into a chunk to be swallowed. Gobnobs do not chew their food. They gnaw on tree bark to keep their front teeth sharp, often leaving an old fin-like tooth embedded in the bark. Gobnobs constantly grow new front teeth.   They are otherwise similar to goblins. They have superior climbing skills due to their forest living. They will make nests high up in trees when the canopy is thick enough to dim daylight. But cave or abandoned structures that allow them to avoid the bright daylight can make good dens. Gobnobs tend to be more tribal, resulting in smaller groups with a lot of territorial behavior. They do hoard, gathering and keeping found items and useful bits. A fallen gobnob is quickly stripped of everything and unceremoniously left where it fell. Gobnobs toss the dead out from their nests the same as trash or emptying the toilet. Larger nests will drag them away to throw over a cliff or into a lake, swamp or river.
