Touching the door to this room reduces the stone door to sand. There are 2 doors that lead to the north and there is one door that leads to the west. A square board is inset into the southern wall. It has 36 square depressions, each equal in size. 26 of these have letter covered tiles within them and 10 are empty. A leather pouch sits in a small alcove next to the board. Ten tiles can be found within the pouch, each with a letter corresponding to one found on the board.
The solution to the puzzle is:
Once all the tiles are in their proper places, , the doors crumble away into sand. The room behind the west door is holding the reward chest.
If they put the tiles in the incorrect locations, the doors will crumble away to sand and the board will not move to reveal the chest. They will not get a treasure reward. Nor will they receive any points with the Eldarin.
Written on the top of the chest is "select a single item as your reward." Inside the chest you find a screw driver, a bottle and a brooch.
The chest contains:
All-Purpose Tool, +1,
Bottled Breath and
Brooch of Shielding.
There is nothing stopping the party from taking all 3 items. However, if they select and take only one as instructed, they will receive one point with the Eladrin. Keep track of the party's score as they go along. At the completion of each challenge, their score will be announced by the ringing of a bell for each point they have earned.
