Nashara
Nashara is the God/Goddess of magic, love, and duality in the pantheon of the The Civilized Gods. They are the patron of spellcasters, artists, lovers and philosophers. Prayers to them are spoken before a youth's secret rendezvous with a sweetheart, as a sorcerer conjures a mighty spell and after an investigator spots the hidden connection between cryptic clues. They are depicted as an androgynous Radashi in regal attire, with 2 masks, one feminine and one masculine. Their pose is flirtatious and mysterious, often partially obscured. Their alchemical material is water, fluid, changing and yet connected to all living things.
Nashara is an enigma. They represent the connection between things, concepts and people. They have a clear connection to Sympathetic Magic, having believed to have created it by tying their divine harp cords between things to keep them from separating. Naturally, the last cord, love is seen as the strongest, and the god ties it between people who may not be aware it is happening. Nashara also counts among their spheres art and music, which are sometimes seen as their own type of magic or at least related to sympathetic magic.
Nashara's relationship with the other gods, somewhat ironically is distant and aloof. Nashara is neither male nor female, but somewhere in-between, which confuses some of their fellow deities. Nashara has a cordial relationship with Elodar who is seen as the logical side of creation, as opposed to Nashara's more intuitive and emotional perspective. They are feared by Bruton who does not understand their ways. Perhaps the god of magic's only friend is strangely Shivo, whom is seen as a muse and endless source of inspiration to the artistic deity.
