Bruton
Bruton is the God of war, trickery, murder, and deceit among the The Civilized Gods. He is the patron of soldiers, assassins and, criminals. Prayers are spoken to Bruton by mercenaries before battles, and whispered under breath by a thief before a heist. Bruton is depicted as a muscular male Radashi who's face is hidden behind an enclosed helm. He is often depicted with a cloak that obscures his body. His alchemical material is iron, cold, strong and inflexable.
While he is not considered explicitly evil, many of the actions in Burton's sphere are viewed in a negative light, though his cultural significance is complicated. The Al'Quam who revere him argue that for instance, a soldier may fight to defend their home or to subjugate his neighbors. An assassin can kill a beloved king or a ruthless tyrant and you can steal a purse or a crush's heart. None of these actions are inherently good or evil, at least in the eyes of Bruton.
Bruton's relationship with the other Gods is often antagonistic. He is seen as a rival to Elodar, with whom, the war god's personality and spheres conflict. Their mythology traces this feud all the way back to the beginning of creation, when Bruton subverted Elodar's creation of the Radashi by making them turn on one another. Bruton is also said to be the on again, off again lover of Shivo, their tumultuous relationship being the basis for many legends. The only god it is said that Bruton fears is the perplexing Nashara who's contradictory nature confuses the destructive deity.
