Helwinter
The wolves believe that at the end of the world, the demons interred in Hel in the Underworld will escape their prison and swarm over the world, killing and pillaging everything in sight. When the gates of Hel are opened, it is said that the icy Helwind will follow behind the demons and turn the world to permafrost, killing off all life on the planet. After the last soul is commended by Svargarm to their afterlife, he and Valkettu will be alone in the frozen ruins of creation and will mourn together and comfort one another.
Red wolves believe this will be the end of everything and Svargarm and Valkettu will simply sleep for all eternity, but the grey wolves and the borean foxes believe that the two will be wed in the wake of the Helwinter and that they will birth the next Allfather who will then recreate the world and start the cycle again.
In the Icepelt telling of this legend, it is said the ancestors will return to the world and will build great bonfires with wood from the spirit realm to thaw the world and the Allfather will bless the land and allow life to flourish once again.
