While the Forces of Creation set about realizing the vision of Solun, there was one, their brother, Maferath who went about secretly and corrupted their creations.

But verily, Maferath looked upon the works of his brethren and he was an angered. For he desired all things to be according to his will, and not that of Solun. And so he set about in secret to corrupt all things upon the face of Unorrea and make them unto his wicked and tortured desires.   Maferath was one of the original 13 Forces of Creation, but he was corrupted a twisted in his own pride. He did not understand the vision of Solun, and didn't know how to realize it like his siblings had. And so, when the others created a world he began to be angry and jealous of their creations and began twisting and corrupting them to make them his. For every metallic Dragon Disoi created, he created a chromatic one. For every Elf, Human and Dwarf that Solun created Maferath gave life to Orcs, Duegar and Drow. And so this went for many centuries. At the children of Solun began to flourish and spread throughout the world a rift was beginning between Maferath and the Forces of Creation that would plunge the new world into war...
