The Lords of Ribalba

During ancient times, in the Age of Creation, a magocracy of blood mages came into being on the island of Ribalba. Legends say that these mages found some source of power on Ribalba, something they weren't intended to find and it corrupted them leading them to believe they were more powerful than the Forces of Creation, and they sought to supplant them as Gods. Legend says they were cursed for it, though the nature of this curse has always been rumor and speculation. One thing is sure, the Lords of Ribalba fell, and never were in power again.
