Session 10: And Away we go Report

General Summary

Well, they did it, they broke Edric out of prison and made it to the Kazus wastes. While Saphryn and Nyx took care of personal business, the rest of the Thirteen headed to the citadel to break out their needed navigator. What was expected to be a rather bloody jailbreak actually turned out to be a night of confusion for the guards as Gerome the Gnome in an unusual bout of clarity charmed his way past almost every guard to get into the prison tower of the Citadel of Kaer-Duval. Once at the cell, he used the prestidigitalations to convince the guard captain that they were poerform an emergency prison inspection and then used the Avatar Aang air scooter to blow out all the torches and cause mass confusion and...and one death RIP Bobby. With the help of the keys procured by Saphryn a few hours prior he was able to get Edric out and down the elevator...which presented a new problem. After casting many a spell to charm their way past everyone and then the Air Scooter itself, Gerome put it best when he said: "I have no more skin left on my teeth." With that issue in mind, and two more guards at the bottom of the lift they were riding to the cavern floor, Nef had a solution. In the form of a spider she jumped off the elevator while still in the air. With a terminal velocity of less than 3 mph she turned into a brown bear a few meters from the cavern floor and landed traveling slower than average human walking speed. Surprised at the sudden appearance of a bear out of what seemed to be thin air, the guards gave chase when the bear headed off into the city raising the alarm as they did. Nef was tracked and pinned by the soldier, but with a little help from Ouna they managed to escape and makle it back to the Fantastic Digeridoo where Rose was getting the Company ready to move out. Stowing Edric in the back of one of the wagons they headed out of Kaer-Duval, passing through the tunnel leading out of the Frost Mountains and into the icy tundra that is the Kazus Wastes where we arrive at the final act of our first adventure...

Rewards Granted

For coming this far and reaching the Wastes themselves the entire party was rewarded with level five.
