History
The term 'Foundational Magic' has been in effect since the 16th century, at least, although what is considered 'Foundational Magic' has changed over the centuries. Currently, the curriculum for Foundational Magic is reviewed reguarly by the Magisterium and Council.Regulation
Both the Magisterium and Council insist that all witches must possess Foundational Magic skills in order to move on to the Institute. If a student does not pass their Exams, they are given two more attempts. If they are still unable to pass their Exams, they are free to either go live with humans or be considered a Nihil. This scenario, however, is very rare.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
