Knighting

The honoring of squires from various societies and acknowledging them as full-fledged warriors of the cast or knights. The specifics of these rituals differ from group to group.

The Purple knights

The purple knights can only be knighted by Iti herself in a grand ceremony. Those to be knighted are nominated by other knights to Iti, who then decides if the reasons are worthy. They are all then knighted in a ceremony at the end of the year where Iti gifts each with a scale on a necklace to signify them as a true purple knight.

Paladin of Akoom

The Paladin of Akoom can be knighted at any point by either the Justicar they squire for or his Fylkir he's under for acts of bravery, valor, or conviction. This is normally done after the battle of the event happened. The Squire sits on his knees in front of the cleric with their sword, up turned, their head on the crossguard. The squire then recites the paladin's oath loudly so everyone close can hear. The cleric then blesses the squire before his Justicar announces him to the rest of the assembled troops.

Shifter tribes

The shifter tribes don't have knights but do have tribal hunters. These hunters are made up of the preditors who join the tribe after their call of the wild. This is in a ceremony where the prospective tribesman presents their trophy necklace, they then boost on every hunt while hunters from the tribe mock and try to insult the prospect. He's to retaliate during this with comebacks and jokes of his own. If satisfied, the war chief then accepts the prospect into the tribe.

Other knights

Other squires can be knighted by any knight that deems them worthy. This is done by the squire kneeing in front of the night, swearing an oath, before tapping his sword on each shoulder.
