Icey Tomb

A mile east of Targvisk stands a barren stretch of land covered in ice sculptures and scattered frozen remains, covering a mile in total. Once part of a major trade route, it turned into the most dangerous part of the region during the Crisis of the Fey age prone to ice storms and allowing few to pass.

Formation

At some point during the month of Rapha, 122 Fey, a group of Dragonborn adventures scavenged Targvisk's catacombs to find the Divine Elixir. It was during this event that the first ice storm started, killing an entire horde of undead. The storm would end a week later revealing an ice sculpture of a dire wolf at the east end, as well several frozen undead in various forms of decay throughout.   It is believed that the magical situation during the crisis helped form this anomaly.

Features

While for the most part, the area seems like a garden of ice sculptures, this changes every time one of the moons is full, creating a massive ice storm in the area that devastates everything, including the sculptures. This however isn't a sweet release in comparison to the other effect of the area.   The area itself seems capable to sense those in the area, as well as their intentions. While those of peaceful intent pass through, those with hostile thoughts or instincts seem to come under attack by coldness itself. Ice starts to envelop their body, turning them into ice sculptures. While at first these sculptures were thought to be dead, a cleric was able to revive one in late 122 Fey, only to find it had known every moment it was frozen, suspended in the moment of being frozen but conscious of the world outside.

Made of stronger stuff

While this fate seems to befall everyone who enters the field, several Shifters of the Goregrinder tribe claim to have been able to push against the Ice and make it through. While this has never been confirmed it does seem strange that, for the most part, tougher-looking creatures seem to be further in than the weaker-looking ones.

Fire and cold

While it hasn't been confirmed if hardier folks can pass through, it has been noted that Shoosuva has without consequence. The fact that cloaks made of their fur help protects from ice magic gives some reason for this.   While it is theorized that fire-based beings would also be protected, the cleric brave enough to ask Zumil got turned away, resulting in a lack of confirmation.
You want me to what?
How about I shove you in there and see how long you last, now p*** off before I decide to find out how immune to fire you are.
-Zumil to the Cleric who asked him to find out if he was immune to the area's effect.
