Goregrinder tribe

Roaming the landbridge between Frostmourn and the Shifter wastes, the Goregrinder tribe is known for its warlike and aggressive outlook. Nothing is more sacred to a Goregrinder than prowess in battle, with Hynadon as the patron.

History

The Gorgrinder tribe is descended from Saberfang's Gnoll cavalry, the Goregrinders claim to be the original Gnoll tribe. Often called upon to be the front line of any Shifter army, they have proved their worth in thousands of battles. Though they were exiled from society in the wake of The Laughing king, they were 'welcomed' back by High king Dragniel who needed a powerful front line to fight the Draconians. They have lived on the outskirts of the wastes, defending it from any terrors of Frostmourn, and itself, though in times of war, they always form the front line of the shifter force.

Acceptance

After the call of the wild a Shifter may try to join the Goregrinder tribe, they are however in for a rough time of it. First, the trophy necklace they present must include several prizes from several formidable creatures, better if ones is a Shoosuva. Secondly, any current tribe member may challenge the newcomer to a fight to prove their worth, rather than just winning they must prove they can fight, several of these can happen in a row leading to many unprepared applicants dying from the strain. Even if a Shifter is accepted after this, they can expect a rough hazing for a few months from older members wanting to see their worth.
