Drakon class warship

The 'vanity' project of the empire of Akoom was to show they had the greatest navy in Undinia, the Drakon class is the biggest class of warship in the Gem sea. While slower than the Serpent Class, it packed more of a punch with an onager catapult at the back, ten Balisters on each side, and three facing forward and back. Three-decked, the second deck had a draw bridge that could be used to quickly disembark troops in the original design.

Ill designed

The original design used by the Empire of Akoom had the two lower decks open where troops and supplies could be packed in. This feature was warned against by Hjalmar as he stated all he had to do was start a medium fire and the ship was lost, or do anything that would create a hull breach. The troop draw bridge was also a feature several engineers disliked, saying it compromised the hull integrity. Both these flaws would come into painful view during the original assault on Rivell where hull breaches caused multiple warships to sink, the front being the most common issue, then again at the Night of the Burning sea where a whole fleet was destroyed by fire in moments.

Dedicated warships

This led to the removal of the drawbridge and the ship being turned into a dedicated warship, the bolster count was increased to five at the front and back and twelve at the sides. Though the empire didn't divide up the lower decks, causing another disaster during the Rivell revolts, where a whole fleet was destroyed by a single torch thrown at the flagship.

Modified varient

While it fell out of favor for regular use with most, the white fleet still hosted a sizable fleet, though the design had been radically changed to include sealable cabins below deck, temporary breach seals in each, and the nearly designed repeater blister on raised platforms at the front of the ship. This version was unleashed during the silent trade war between The White City and Tarverloth where three Drakon classes sank a fleet of Serpent class, and even withstood a Fireship, though heavly damaged.
