Areyan Representative

Representatives of the United Nation of Areya’s city-states. The Representatives are part of the Areyan Congress, as the nation is a union and work to be voices for their regions on federal/national issues. The work is generally part time and mostly consists of attending monthly meetings, or meetings as national issues occur. They can either be elected by their city-states or occur as nobility within those regions or by other means of selection depending on what the area’s norms are. More often than not the representatives tend to be people of power or significance to the city-state, such as folk heroes or successful entities; examples being Caligo Apricol of Glypnei, Legault Mureiy of Therrani, or Alder Teldus of Granbell. Though, some are more related to sovereign monarchy or nobility, such as in Qinesq.
The position is respected within the country and generally ranges in it’s reception by citizens of different city-states. It can be ranked equivalent in power in the new Areyan government to that of a Viscount or Duke.

Appointment

Must be officiated and confirmed by the First Commander General. The city-states of Areya decide upon their rulers in the ways determined by their regional governments, which can differ drastically from city-state to city-state.
