Effect
Range Medium – 100 feet + 10 per caster level Target Object or Creature Duration 10 minutes per level. Saving throw yes (if cast on an unwilling target Spell Resistance yes (if cast on an unwilling target)
Description
This spell creates an area of up to 60’ radius of absolute darkness. The size is chosen by the caster when cast. The darkness spreads around corners but will not penetrate solid walls. A creature with dark vision cannot see through this darkness, and non magical light can’t illuminate it. This darkness emanates from the target of the spell and as such can move with that object. If it is cast on a small object that is then placed inside or under a lightproof covering, the spell’s effect is blocked until the covering is removed. If any of this spell’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 3rd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled. If it interacts with a 4th level spell which creates light, both spells are dispelled.
