Quanicillo - Master of the Hunt

A tall elf, Quncillo is always described as blond haired, shoulders as broad as a human, and with a sneer to his visage. He is never depicted as laughing nor as having a kind word for others.   Quanicillo is the student who sought Perlachio out. Quanicillo was an arrogant elf who claimed to be the best archer and the best hunter to have ever lived. Unfortunately, across many worlds, Quanicillo kept coming across the name of a man who many considered the best at any skill. Seeking to prove his superiority, he began hunting the man known as Perlachio down. Perlachio apparently knew of this for he left a message for Quanicillo to hunt him down if he could. Perlachio agreed to a competition if Quanicillo was as good of a hunter as he claimed.   Tracking the Great Teacher across many worlds, he finally found him. Whether Perlachio allowed himself to be found is unknown. As agreed, they held a competition of Archery. While Perlachio was indeed one of the best, Quanicillo easily won.   Satisfied, Quanicillo went his own way. When he came upon Perlachio decades later, he challenged the older man once again, just to make certain his claim was good. Perlachio declined, saying that Quanicillo should be happy at being the best. Quanicillo insisted and this time, Perlachio won. Not by accuracy but by speed while moving. Perlachio began to show Quanicillo that though he was the more accurate archer, it was Perlachio who knew how to use the bow and arrow in ways which Quanicillo had never dreamed. He showed Quanicillo that eyesight was not necessary to being a great archer, for the Great Teacher could hit his targets from memory, having seen the target once. The then showed that he could shoot by sound. He also showed Quanicillo that it was possible to invest arrows with magic so that they could do wonderous effects upon striking their target. He showed Quanicillo that by making arrows in a certain fashion, they could curve in flight.   Impressed, yet still arrogant, Quanicillo then challenged Perlachio to a contest of hunting. They agreed upon the terms. For one month, Perlachio would seek to hide from Quanicillo within a single kingdom. As Quanicillo got close, Perlachio would leave hints and clues yet continued to avoid him. Never once did Perlachio resort to magic to avoid being found. During the month, Quanicillo never once succeeded in hunting Perlachio down.   Then they traded roles and Perlachio hunted Quanicillo. Time and time again, he found the elf. Then they chose random targets to hunt. Each time, Perlachio achieved success first.   Though arrogant, Quanicillo eventually conceded that Perlachio was the better hunter. Perlachio offered to train Quanicillo.   Of the students, Quanicillo was the least liked, never really getting along with any of the others. He was a loner. During his tutelage, he did become the greatest hunter, learning all that Perlachio had to offer. In the process, he also learned all which Perlachio knew about archery.   As for his artifact, the Neverthere, Quanicillo relied mostly on his own skills and those given to him by Perlachio to craft the bow. The other students helped little in its construction. Perlachio's only contribution was to take the finished bow, grant it its dimension door abilities, and make it indestructible.   When the students started to be sent out by Perlachio for the final time, he was one of the first to go, not waiting for Perlachio to actually send him out.
