Journal Entry 23.04 Urik's Mirror Journey

Urik sees the destruction and ravages of Chrailis from the brutal Gore Reaver clan through the eyes of his follower, Crane.

Uriks thoughts merged with those of his friend, Crane, the fellow caretaker of his school at the southern edge of Chrailis.
Crane never cared for the seas, hates them even more now. For five months, he and his companions have sailed the seas ever since the Gore Reaver’s final assault. He haad always assumed the Gore Reavers would be as helpless before Si’Nassa as every other adversary. History tells that centuries ago during the orcs initial assault on Chrailis, when they had awakened Si’Nassa in the process, that she had slain over 100,000 raiding orcs. And now, the orcs are the masters of Chrailis.
Crane had never seen magics like the ones they employed. Only a few managed to escape the net the Reaver ships made as they surrounded the outer villages along First Dawn Lake, blockading all escape by sea.
Urik and Tars had left on a mission which he said Josca had given him. “Find the Witch of the Dark Glens, or all will die.” That was five months ago.
Crane knows he can’t help, not realistically, but he must try to help if he can. Even old men still have stories to make, not just tell. It had been five months of sailing with little information, but he had recently heard that the Witch of the Dark Glens can be found in Black Tide. Though Crane has never been there, he knows of its general location. He convinced the crew of the small ship he was on that his mission was just and holy and if they wished to see an end to the rule of the Reaver clan, they should accompany him to Black Tide.
