Elf

Elves of Camoray initially come from a distant world through the world gate via Gashmyr. The elves which arrived were renegades led by King Jecofer Galechrome in 7321 BC.
Before coalescence, they changed minorly over the years, losing much of the abilities which made them different, one of which were their eidetic memories and innate magic use. So innate was their magic use that they found it difficult to teach magic to other races, though they eventually taught humans enough of the rudiments that they eventually worked spellcraft out for themselves.
The Cozar and the Zyloans Shortly after the first group arrived in mass, a separate tribe of elves known as the Cozar elves arrived. Distantly related to original elves which arrived, they had a distinct appearance and a separate set of abilities. Physically all of the Cozar were greenish to blue-skinned with red hair. The skin contained a version of the chlorophyll which gave them a similar ability to reap energy from sunlight as plants. This indicated to many that the Cozar haled from a sunlight rich world, as on Pyrideon they could not receive enough sustenance to survive on sunlight alone. Whatever the origin of their coloration, the Cozar also shared a strong link with all things plant. This link was severely diminished whenever they arrived on Pyrideon.
The Cozar elves were all empathically linked to their rulers to such an extent that the will of their rulers was the will of the entire clan. As their leaders were extreme pacifists, so was the entire clan. Upon arrival, they immediately headed south towards sunnier and warmer lands. When they arrived at the Southern Lands, they were welcomed, especially in the country known as Creasesk. As the years went by they interbred with their hosts, however also due to their peaceful natures became more of a slave caste. Over time, their enslavement became the law and all with green and blue skin were enslaved. Because the Cozar King housed the royal family of the Cozar essentially as hostages, this kept the entire population subdued despite outnumbering their captors.
After decades of abuse at the hands of their masters, then King Balapusk of the Cozar could take no more. He had seen his people sold into slavery, used ruthlessly for the whims of the people, and forced to fight in public gladiatorial combat. Because of their lithe frames and exotic blue skin, Cozar slaves were highly sought as pleasure slaves all throughout the Southern Kingdoms and often sold abroad. King Balapusk renounced his vow of non-violence and in a repentant moment he urged his people to rise up. Most of them had become so used to being trodden down into servitude that they did not heed his call. For his open rebellion, he was tortured and then publicly executed in front of his gathered people in the large gardens where the royal family had been living. His wife, Queen Agorshana, was forced to watch as their two youngest daughters were then raped publicly before being branded and sold into slavery with the intention of completely humiliating the Cozar people for even thinking of a rebellion. Free from the vow of her husband, deep anger arose in Queen Agorshana. The Cozar connection to all types of plant life came fully alive with her anger. All the plants and trees in the garden animated and set upon the watching citizens of Creasesk. Few survived this initial onslaught. Her fury is such that every plant in the vicinity of the Cleasesk capital city animates and attacks any bipedal which is not a Cozar. The Cozar now have crossbred so much with the local humans that few are true Cozar. However, any elven blood at all serves to spare the Cozar slaves.
The Cozar then travel further south and set up their own nation. Any with even the remotest level of Cozar blood, often indicated by blue or green skin, felt compelled to follow. It was during this time that the anger Angorshana grew so great that it attracted the attention of the god Wegsetze. He became their god and their hatred became his hatred, molding him into the god the Cozar wanted.
Today, the descendants of the Cozar are now the Zyloan Empire and live on Zylonica. Outside the royal family, most Zyloans are now light blue-skinned and conform mostly to human standards. Only the royal family still have the greenish pigmentation and red hair. The level of green in a Zyloan's skin often helps determine their social status.
Standard Elf These are basic elves of Arisilon. Standing taller a human, at nearly 7 feet, they are also skinnier. After Coalescence, the elves have started to regain some of their lost abilities. Already, all elves have eidetic memories and their lifespans have increased significantly. The first elves to come to Pyrideon had claimed to be nearly immortal. As of now, elves from Arisilon are not a player available race.
Chrailis Elves See the description under Chrailis for details on their society. These elves are more typical of the elves from before Coalescence. Why they have not reverted to an earlier form like the elves of Arisilon is unknown.
The harshness of these elves has caused some adaptations. The standard elf of the tribes around Chrailis gets different starting stats. They get the +2 dex, however, they don’t get any bonus to intelligence, a +2 on constitution, and a -2 on cha when dealing with any non-elf due to living in such small segregated societies. (this penalty applies when dealing with the Urban or Rural elves also, as their distaste and suspicion is hard to hide. )
