Calfur Fruits \ˈkal-fər ˈfrüt\

These spherical fruits are a rust brown in color with a soft felt on their skin and four faint green stripes running vertically from top to bottom. They grow on large trees which resemble soft maple trees. They can be found in several temperate forests, occasionally in jungles as well. Their jungle variety can reach a staggering 250’ in height with a base almost 10’ across.
During an average season, a tree will produce 1d4 x100 fruits with the average fruit size being slightly smaller than a grapefruit. The fruits themselves will work only for up to 2 weeks after being plucked with full effect. After that, they are considered dried calfur fruit and they have a diminished effect. The full effect is to heal 1d6+2 hit points of damage. The weakened effect is to heal 1-3 hit points. The effect takes place over the next 30 minutes after being eaten. Only two full fruits can be eaten in a single day for positive effect.
There is considerable upkeep required in the first few years to get these trees to produce the magical effects. However, even unmagical calfur fruits are considered a tasty treat.
