The Mark of Arcana

The Mark of Arcana can be shown either through means of design, such as clothing pieces or tattoos, to the real item carried on one's person. It is worn as a symbol for members of Arcanus , a group of highly trained women who are known to divulge in government secrets and intercontinental matters. Perhaps the most common version of this item is that of an upper-arm cuff, as it is easy to hide, disguise, and obtain.   The symbol presented in all forms is that of a Celestial Timepiece, as it is not only very common to have but also comes in a variety of designs, materials, sizes, and multi-purposes. The specific version used by Arcanus is based on stories of Uni, the wife of Velo who is the deity the Gladius family follows.

Design

Made from metal found in the remnants of a fallen satellite, each piece holds a unique pattern similar to that of Comet's Creation. Within each piece is a small map of neighboring galaxies, each galaxy is represented by a small gem, and each gem is a pure form of the major types of magic within the Island. Unlike normal timepieces, the Celestial Timepiece moves with the galaxies as opposed to the stars, moons, or planets; and because of this, you would never know if any of the pieces had moved before.   The Timepiece is able to be attached to a number of different items and clothing, for example in the use of upper-arm cuffs the piece is attached facing outward and is often companied by fancy inlays and ornamental designs. The Timepiece can be fitted into a necklace, weapons, and practically anything if you had the time and patience to do so correctly.

Raw materials & Components
Made from remnants of a fallen satellite, the Mark is easy to identify by the type of material. It also has a unique reaction to certain types of light and magic, given by the foreign material it was created from.
