Firbolg
Firbolgs are a species closely related to the Goliaths of the Wandebirge and have similar connection to magic as Gnomes. The Firbolgs are not one of the more sociable species, living in small glades in relatively secluded parts of forests, where they are unbothered by the majority of sapient species and respected for their control over nature by the woodland creatures.
Geography
Firbolgs are found mostly in Walzbin due to its dense forests and sparse population, but are also found in relatively large numbers in the southern part of Azendale with similar ecology. They are sparse in the southern parts of Inverus and Herske and only seen in the very wet parts of Aitilafa.
Culture
Firbolgs have a tradition of sending at least one volunteer from each [/tooltip:Generations are counted within 30 year periods although Firbolgs tend to live much longer than humans]generation[/tooltip] in each glade to the outside world, both as a means of diplomacy and a sign of goodwill, and as a way of gathering information on the important happenings outside the glade. These journeys are called Gundarish and happen during the adolescent years of those chosen, but can last for decades or, in rare cases, a Firbolg's entire life.
This species has a deep connection with nature, and the magicks they wield are both shaped by and have the power to shape nature to suit the needs of the Firbolgs, both as a means of keeping the area safe as a unit or as a means of protecting the Firbolg themselves.
