Prince Gwion Phineas Elantine
The younger of the two Elantine royal princes. Headstrong and rebellious, Gwion can't stand to be out of the center of attention which is normally what his brother Sol gets instead. Being blessed by the dragon of darkness, Noctys, he may find a way yet to get that attention he deserves...
Physical Description
Slender with defined arms.
Has a dark shadow-like birthmark on the right side of his neck, proving he is the reincarnation of Noxys.
Mental characteristics
Gwion went through a huge depression when he lost his mother, Queen Seraphyne, to an unknown illness at the age of 7. He was extremely close to her, and she understood his personality more than most.
He has made a hidden room below the castle. It is here that he has brought people he was not fond of to torture them or blackmail them into doing what he wanted. Tarana was the most extreme point in his habit, having abused her and chained her without food or water for almost four days.
The Next King
Gwion’s face brightened while Sol’s darkened. In all of the chaos, Sol hadn’t even thought about what would happen next to the kingdom; that the kingdom was indeed king-less.
“I have spoken with the council and they agree unanimously who should be on the throne since your father had made it clear that he would pick when the time came.” Liniver said, holding on to his staff
Gwion took a step forward in excitement and Sol waited. He had a growing suspicion in his heart on what the next sentence would be out of Liniver’s mouth.
“Out of the two of you, the council has chosen Solaren to be the next king of Tydas.”
It was as if time had frozen by the looks on both of the brothers’ faces. The same horrified expression as if they had been backhanded. Liniver waited for the bomb to fall and he didn’t have to wait long.
“You’re not serious? You’re not fucking serious?! Sol gets to be king?!” Gwion spat out in disbelief. Sol looked over at his brother with a frown, not understanding his outburst. He put his hand on his shoulder to face him.
“I don’t get to be anything, Gwion. This was forced on me. It’s not like we were in competition.” He said to him in a calm tone. Gwion pushed Sol’s hand off of him saying out, “You’re telling me that you don’t want to be king?”
“It wasn’t on my list, no.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Believe what you wish, but we can’t fight over this right now. It’s in the past and the council has spoken.”
