The Devils Nest
From the outside, it looks maintained, albeit not without clear signs of damage. Bricks and marble stones compose most of the building's outer structure. It's hard to see through the darkened windows, but the energy from within can be felt outside. Upbeat music spills from the doorway, as do the sounds of a rather rowdy crowd.
As you enter the tavern through the heavy, wooden door, you're welcomed by the aromas of roasted meats juxtaposed with the musty scent of an overcrowded room, and dust hanging in the air. There are clearly more people in here than there should be, and a fight is currently taking place in a dirt pit that occupies part of the floor. The bartenders are preoccupied but make a note of your presence as you enter.
Squared stone beams support the upper floor and the huge lamps attached to them. The walls are full of paintings, all in a different style, but all depicting the surrounding area. A rickety staircase leads up to what seem to be rooms, although there is no posted sign with rates.
The majority of the clientele wear armor of all different sorts, and while there do appear to be a few soldiers, not a single one seems to be enforcing any kind of control, let alone sober.
