King's Town

The term "King's Town" is used in the Hojan Confederation to describe a city that does not pay tax to local lords and is not subjected to such lords laws or rulings.
All the King's Towns are governed directly by the King's council and the Highking himself, and all taxes are paid directly to the King's chests.
A King'S Town will also host a fair-sized contingent of His Hojan Confederate Majestie's Army, the HHCMA.
While an Imperial Citiy might not have a fortress but various barracks. A King's city almost always has more fortresses and barracks to house its contingent, a King's Town in general only supports one fortress or heavily fortified barrack.
